Yasmin became the tennis writer for Daily Express Sport in summer 2021 and was accepted into the British Tennis Journalists Association in 2022.
Since graduating from BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism, Yasmin has covered two Wimbledon competitions on-site, as well as several other UK events – including Roger Federer’s retirement. She has also virtually covered Grand Slams including the Australian Open and attended press conferences for players including Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and the Williams sisters. Yasmin's career highlights include covering Raducanu’s 2021 US Open win virtually, speaking to Federer and Nadal at Federer’s retirement, and forming relationships with players and other journalists that she admired while still studying at BU.
Yasmin says: “I write for online and occasionally the newspaper and honed my writing skills for both platforms during the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism seminars. My degree also taught me valuable interviewing skills and taught me how to move on stories and find my own exclusives.”

What their colleagues say
Since joining us on Express Sport, Yasmin has been one of our standout and most reliable writers. Despite focusing only on tennis content, Yasmin is one of our highest-performing writers. Yasmin is a versatile reporter and excels in whatever format we require from her, be it live blogs, match reports, quote-led pieces, features, pieces to camera or throwback stories. She is a dependable member of the team and whether she's out on the ground or working on desk, she sources her stories herself while suggesting the best angles and the best headlines to editors. She passed her senior exams very recently and is now quite rightly classed as one of the higher-ranking people on the team."
