Since leaving Bournemouth University four years ago, Shiavax’s career has taken an unexpected trajectory.
From an economics degree, he ventured into the world of branding and marketing, attracted by the science behind building brands to meet consumer needs. He has since worked on several international award-winning projects across the MENA region, handled multi-million-pound client accounts, and helped launch products that have gone on to have widespread success.
His proudest achievement so far has been his role in the brand development of a beach city belonging to the Crown Prince of Bahrain. This project is expected to have a significant effect on tourism and will be key to transforming the region's image as a hub for travel beyond Dubai.
Shiavax has now relocated to Toronto, Canada where, after soon completing his Master’s in Marketing from the Schulich School of Business, he intends to continue his career progression.
Shiavax says: “At every step of the way, I feel that the research and strategic-thinking skills gained from the economics program has been an invaluable asset. This has benefited me even when I no longer operate within a finance or economics-based role. All this considered I can easily say that I am #BUPROUD!"
