Ben Harris (18) sails the Nacra 15 Youth Multihull class, which is a mixed-gender, high-performance catamaran as part of the British Youth Sailing Team.
Ben has had a busy few weeks with training, fitness and event preparation ahead of the RYA Youth Nationals which was scheduled to be held at the end of October, but with the forecast of 40-knot winds all weekend, the racing was postponed by one week, which again has had to be cancelled due to lockdown.
"I'd like to thank all that have supported me during my preparation throughout the year. I'd like to show my appreciation for the support me and my crew have received, particularly with physical training, we have just added stickers to the boat, displaying both the BU logo and that of our crew's fitness sponsor." Ben is going to continue his physical training where he can during these challenging times and looks forward to getting back on the water.
