The innovative and exciting Inclusive Curriculum Evaluation (ICE) project, funded by BU offers the opportunity for you to have a paid role as a student reviewer.
The aim of the Inclusive Curriculum Evaluation project is to improve the inclusivity of BU’s curriculum and how that is experienced by students of different ethnicities and backgrounds. To do this, the project team employs Student Reviewers to review our curriculum specifically for inclusivity.
In higher education, students from ethnically diverse backgrounds often don’t succeed as well as white students. This is a sector-wide problem, and here at BU we want to make sure that everyone has the best chance to succeed. This project contributes towards this target.
The project is due to start in early 2025, and we want you to get involved, now! If you want to work with us to make the BU curriculum the best for everyone, view the job advert and job description and apply by Sunday 17 November 2024.

Past projects
The ICE Project is in its fourth year. Students took part in a Student Reviewers project where they were asked to attend lectures and seminars in each faculty to review a programme in terms of diversity and inclusion.
The Student Reviewers then shared their findings by producing a summary report for each unit. Unit Leaders were then invited to respond to the student reports. The experience for both the Student Reviewers and the Unit Leaders has been very positive.
