The Sir Michael Cobham Library is situated at the heart of our Talbot Campus and is where you will find our largest collection of printed resources. As well as its extensive reference collections, it is also home to over 300 PCs, several iMacs, technobooths with large screens for collaborative work, and laptops available for loan. Study spaces are available for both quiet individual work and for group study. We have three silent study floors and a dedicated postgraduate study area. You'll find printers, photocopiers and scanners on every floor, as well as self-service machines on the ground floor and third floor, where you can loan or return books.
A number of support services are based within the library building, including:
- a Help Zone for library, IT and askBU enquiries
- Faculty library teams, who can assist you with subject-specific requests
- Disability and Additional Learning Support
We have done our best to make the Library as accessible and versatile as possible. In addition to our desktop computers, there are numerous powerpoints for laptops, and we have adjustable-height desks to ensure wheelchair users are comfortable when working on our computers or at our study spaces.
