Bournemouth University hosted representatives from our strategic partner, British University Vietnam (BUV), on Tuesday 24 September 2024 on our Talbot campus.
Thuy Nguyen, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Operations) and Chief Operating Officer, Tran Lam Chau, Chief Financial Officer, and Nguyen Thi Thu (Jenny) Hien, Head of International Mobility & Partnerships enjoyed a tour of the campus, and met with BU colleagues to discuss opportunities for BU students to join BUV’s internship programme with local businesses in Hanoi next summer. BUV have hosted groups of BU students over the last three years on their campus, and placed them with local businesses for short internships.
While at BU, Jenny Hien delivered an information session to a group of interested BU students on the opportunities to take summer and exchange programmes at BUV, funded by the UK Turing Scheme.
The delegation also met Professor Lois Farquharson, Executive Dean of the Bournemouth University Business School along with academic colleagues to discuss progression opportunities for BUV students to join BU programmes. Finally, the delegation met with Professor Alison Honour, BU’s Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer, discussing expansion of the partnership and ways of working more closely together.
