There will be noisy works in Weymouth House from 8 July to 12 July in order to facilitate crucial works to improve our student and staff experiences.
A programme of work has been devised which we hope will minimise disruption to Postgraduate students in the Faculty of Media & Communications and staff who will need to access these rooms during this period.
Please be aware that the noise levels will be higher from 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm from 8 July to 12 July. These times will be reviewed on a daily basis and reduced wherever possible. This means colleagues and students will not need to work from home during core hours and will be uninterrupted outside of these times.
During the periods of noisy work, if you need to work on campus and you find the noise too distracting, please consider using the Student Centre or booking a room in another building.
On Friday 5 July from 10am, Estates will be bringing in the noisy machinery. This is to test the effect of the noise on building users on the upper floors.
