Our Estates Team are tagging what they feel are abandoned bikes and D-Locks on Lansdowne and Talbot campuses over the next couple of weeks. If you find a tag on your bike or D-Lock, please remove it and Estates will know not to touch it.
The tags will have an expiry date on them. Once a tag has expired, we will remove the bike/D-lock from campus. If the bike is in reasonable condition, it will be upcycled and sold back to students in the new academic year. D-Locks once cut off will be unusable. They will be placed with other waste metal collected on campus to be recycled.
For any queries, please email [email protected].
Please note: the cycle parking facilities on campus are for daily use only and not for regular overnight or prolonged storage, and that bikes left in the shelters for prolonged periods are at risk of removal.
