This opportunity is open to BU undergraduate and MSc students studying Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition, Sports Therapy, and Sport and Exercise Science. As part of an interdisciplinary research group at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu State, India.
The exchange opportunities will take place from July to August 2024 – dates to be confirmed.
Students will engage in both research (2 days per week) and observational (2-3 days per week) activities. Research will be focussed on learning more about the physical and nutritional activities in the local population. Observational opportunities will be related to professional roles (occupational therapy, nutrition, sports therapy and sports and exercise science). In these roles you will be able to observe and contribute as appropriate to consider cultural differences to professional specific learning and knowledge to enhance your own learning and ongoing professional development.
Turing Scheme funding is available to support BU students with the costs associated in undertaking this activity.
