If you are experiencing grief or loss, you are invited to sign up for our new support group.
Facilitated by a Student Wellbeing counsellor and our Faith & Reflection Chaplain, this support group provides a friendly and supportive environment to talk, connect and help reduce feelings of isolation following grief and loss.
Group sessions will take place at the Faith & Reflection space on the first floor of Talbot House, Talbot Campus. The group will meet for five consecutive weekly sessions between 3pm and 4:15pm, starting on Thursday 18 April. Places in the group are not available on a drop-in basis, you will need to attend from the first week.
If you’d like to join the group, please register with the Student Wellbeing Team and have an initial assessment. This assessment will help us determine the best support for you and will allow us to arrange further support following the group sessions, if that is needed. If you'd like more information please call 01202 965020.
If there is sufficient demand, we plan to run a similar five-week group immediately after the first block of sessions has concluded.
As well as support through the new support group, Student Wellbeing continue to offer 1:1 counselling for grief and loss. You can find out about the range of support services available to you as a BU student on the website.
