Bournemouth University has risen to 41st in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2023.
The rankings list the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger. BU has risen from 62nd in the 2022 rankings. The rise places BU first in the UK for those universities measured by the league table.
The accolade follows league table rises for BU in both the Complete University Guide, where BU ranks 55th in the UK, and the THE Impact Rankings 2023, where BU sits at 29th worldwide out of 1,591 universities measured. The Impact Rankings measure universities against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) with BU found to be first in the UK for SDG8 Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Professor John Vinney, Vice-Chancellor of Bournemouth University, said, “I am proud of the achievements of our staff and students. When I see the impact of the work we do, we can be proud of what we are achieving together. These league table rises are just one measure of our success, but my thanks and congratulations go to every member of the BU community, whose hard work and commitment help to make BU what it is.”
