Bournemouth University (BU) and Santander Universities have renewed their partnership, signing a new three-year agreement.
Funding from Santander will be used to provide financial support to students and enable them to take part in international study and training opportunities.
The Santander Support Fund will provide funding to support a minimum of 15 BU students with funding to help with childcare, travel, and accommodation as well as books and equipment.
Funding will also be available to BU students from Santander’s International Mobility Study Abroad Fund to support international study and training opportunities of less than two months.
BU Vice-Chancellor Professor John Vinney said: “I am delighted to sign this new agreement, which will support our students who need financial assistance and provide access to exciting opportunities to study abroad.
“Many of our students have already benefitted from funding and opportunities since our partnership with Santander Universities began in 2009, and we look forward to continuing this work over the next three years.”
Matt Hutnell, Director Santander Universities UK, said: “Santander is committed to supporting higher education as well as local communities across the UK.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Bournemouth University for a further three years to ensure we can work together in providing even more opportunities for their students.”
