With the summer break now approaching, we are making some changes to our Covid-19 test site from the end of June.
Until now and the end of June, the testing facility in Kimmeridge House on Talbot Campus is open for drop-in tests Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30am to 1pm. You don’t need to make an appointment; just come along when convenient for you. You can also collect test kits from the test site for you to do at home before coming onto campus, but please only come on to campus if you don’t have any symptoms of Covid-19. All Covid-19 tests, both at the test site and the home test kits, are free of charge.
The testing site will then close on 30 June. If you are coming on to campus over the summer break, please do continue to get tested twice a week to help keep you, your loved ones and BU staff and students safe. You can collect home test kits from your local pharmacy or order them on line for delivery the next day. We will still have test kits available both at Talbot Campus and in Lansdowne throughout July and from 1 July, you can pick these up from the following locations:
- AskBU at The Base in Poole House on Talbot Campus, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 9am and 1pm
- Arts University Bournemouth’s halls of residence in Madeira Road, Lansdowne between 9am and 9pm daily.
If you experience any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay at home and book a PCR Covid-19 test. You mustn’t leave your house for 10 days, except to take the test, or unless you receive a negative test result.
If you are travelling away from Bournemouth over the summer break, then remember to get tested before you leave and consider collecting some home test kits so you have some wherever you are travelling to.
If you are in Bournemouth and test positive for Covid-19, then please don’t worry. We are here for you over the summer, so get in touch with us. Please email [email protected] and let us know about your positive result, so we can provide any support you might need.
