Launched in 2016, our Varsity Day event is an annual sporting series between BU and Southampton Solent University.
Organised by SportBU, this year the event will take place on 10 May, with over 300 BU athletes competing against Solent in 25 matches across 15 sports including football, basketball, squash, equestrian and the main event, T20 cricket.
We’re looking forward to welcoming the Southampton Solent University teams to put on a show of sports and athletic talent and spectators are as much a part of the day as the athletes, so come along and cheer the teams on throughout the day.
To support TeamBU, make your way to the Talbot Campus events (free) and Bournemouth Sports Club events (£2 on the door). Games start at 10.30am with the highlight T20 cricket taking place at Bournemouth Sports Club, Chapel Gate, at 4.30pm*. Food and drink will be available all day, SUBU’s Nerve Radio will be covering the event and the weather is looking good (for now at least!) so it's set to be a brilliant day.
