SUBU, the Students' Union at BU, is led by a team of paid full-time Officers who are elected by you, the student body. The Officers are elected to represent your views to the university as well as campaign for causes and changes you believe in.
For 2017/18 there are five full-time offier positions up for grabs: SUBU President, Vice-President Activities, Vice-President Community, Vice-President Education and Vice-President Welfare. Each of the officers will work and support the five SUBU councils on key projects and campaigns, as well as form membership of important BU meetings and working groups, including but not limited to, The Board, University Leadership Team and the Student Voice Committee.
This year has seen a record number of nominations with a total of 20 candidates running for the five posts - find out who they are on the SUBU website and head to The Old Firestation at 6pm on Tuesday 14 March for the Candidates Question Time.
Voting is open from 10pm, Friday 10 until 5pm, Thursday 16 March. Results will be announced via SUBU at 7pm on Friday 17 March.
