A poetry workshop with acclaimed Indian poet and author Meena Kandasamy and hosted by Bournemouth University is to take place in Kinson.
The free workshop will explore gendered inequalities of language and will include a reading from Meena from one of her own collections and a question and answer session, which will be followed by a participatory writing workshop.
Meena Kandasamy has published three collections of poetry and performed her work at festivals around the world.
Dr. Sonal Minocha, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) at Bournemouth University said, “We are so lucky to be joined by Meena for this event, a chance to hear some brilliant poetry and have a go at creating your own. Meena is an inspiring person with an international reputation and we’re really looking forward to welcoming her to BU.”
The workshop will take place at The Kinson Hub, in Kinson, on Monday 30th November between 11am and 1pm.
