The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Festival of Social Science offers a fascinating insight into some of the country’s leading social science research and how it influences our social, economic and political lives both now and in the future. This celebration of the social sciences takes place across the UK via public debates, conferences, workshops, interactive seminars, film screenings, virtual exhibitions and much more.
This year, for the first time, Bournemouth University is taking part as a Festival partner with more than a dozen events on topics including healthy eating, financial scams, mobile working, identity theft, intellectual property and dementia.
The festival gives us the opportunity to share just some of our social sciences research with the general public, find out their thoughts and feelings about specific subject areas and inspire those within our local community to learn more about social issues that may, at some point, impact on all our lives.
Festival events are open to staff, students, schools, businesses, charities and the general public. Take a look and book on to one or more of the events today.
