In our university strategy, BU2025, we see ourselves as a thought leader in sustainability and we measure the success of our leadership by our positive impact on society and the planet, and by ensuring we take the BU community with us on this journey.
A fundamental part of demonstrating leadership is creating appropriate and robust means to hold ourselves to account – this can take many forms through, for example, external audits, international rankings or a staff and student assembly. At the same time, we want to make sure that the net-zero target is tangible for our staff and students and create new processes to support everyone to contribute.
