St Mary's Hospital Newport

The accommodation for St Mary’s Hospital is located onsite, in a building that is managed by Sovereign Housing Group. The hospital is situated just outside Newport on the Isle of Wight and is within easy reach of the town, as well as the coast.

When you live here, you will have access to all of the hospital’s facilities, including a staff restaurant, a library in the Education Centre and a launderette. There are also garden areas around the accommodation itself.

The flats are four-bed cluster flats, with a shared kitchen and lounge area that is equipped with a cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery, as well as four armchairs, an ironing board and iron, and a TV.

All of the rooms are ensuite and have a single bed, wardrobe, shelving, two sets of drawers, a chair, a bedside cabinet, and a lamp. You’ll also be provided with a single duvet with a cover, a bottom sheet, one pillow and a case, as well as towels. Towels and bedding are changed weekly if you leave them outside your room on the allocated day, and all the communal areas are cleaned each week too.

Wi-fi is included in the rent charge. Onsite parking  is managed by Apcoa on behalf of IOW NHS. Information on prices and the application can be found here.

It takes between two and two and a half hours to travel from St Mary’s Hospital to our Lansdowne Campus. You will need to take a ferry off the Isle of Wight, either from Yarmouth to Lymington or Fishbourne to Portsmouth.
