This is a guide to the normal entry requirements, assuming you’ve followed the Chilean education system. An admissions tutor will study your application, so make sure you include your academic background and personal information when you apply.
Entry requirements vary depending on what sort of course you’re coming to BU to study.
- BU International College Foundation Certificates
You can undertake a Foundation Certificate before going on to an undergraduate course if you have a Licencia de Educación Média or Técnico de Nível Médio and a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 5.0. - Undergraduate courses
You can apply to study a Bachelor's degree from year one if you hold an International Foundation Certificate, a Técnico Superior/Técnico Universitário, or a Título de Bachiller/Bachillerato (with a minimum of two years of study) - Top-up courses
You can apply for a Top-up course if you have a Título de Bachiller/Bachillerato with three or more years of study in a relevant subject. Mature students may be considered with a combination of lower-level qualifications plus relevant work experience. - Postgraduate courses
You can apply for a postgraduate taught course if you have a Grado de Licenciado or Título Professional (with four years of study), or a Título de Professional Especialista. - Research programmes
You need to be a Magíster to apply for entry onto a postgraduate research programme at BU.
