Improving care for mothers and babies in low and middle income countries

Researchers in CMWH work with colleagues in a number of Low and Middle Income Countries including Nepal, India, and Uganda to improve care for mothers and babies. We are working with organisations such as WHO and the International Confederation of Midwives. This group is led by Professor Edwin van Teijlingen.

International partnerships

Bournemouth University and Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal (MMIHS) have collaborated for more than a decade to help people live better, for longer - including research by Professor Edwin van Teijlingen around maternity care, women's health, and migrant workers' health.
