From 1 November 2024, there are some changes to parking, which you need to be aware of.
Parking at BU will be managed by Hozah Parking and enforced by UK Parking Administration. All drivers will be required to have a valid parking permit.
Any vehicles parked on campus without a valid permit after 1 November 2024 may be subject to a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
We are committed to sustainable travel, and we encourage all our students, staff and visitors to consider alternatives to driving to BU campuses. There is no student parking available at Lansdowne Campus, and only a limited number of pre-approved student permit holders can park at Talbot Campus.
How to apply for a pre-approved parking permit
Eligible students can apply for a parking permit via the BU Parking Membership system https://parking.bournemouth.ac.uk. You will be able to login using your usual BU login and password.
You must complete the whole process including providing your vehicle registration number to Hozah. Once your registration is complete you will receive an email confirmation if you have been successful in your application.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for an annual student parking permit, you must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Living at an address, during term time, more than 10 miles from Talbot Campus by road transport.
- With a child aged 12 or under. Evidence of this will be required.
- A registered disabled blue badge holder. Evidence of this will be required.
- Have a medical condition whereby not having a parking permit would impede on studies. Medical referrals will be required to complete an additional form on application.
- Have an official Carer responsibility. Evidence of this will be required.
