Our Careers Zones at Talbot Campus (The Hub, Poole House) and Lansdowne Campus (Bournemouth Gateway Building) are your go-to for all things career-related. No appointments are necessary—just drop in! See our full timetable on MyCareerHub. 

  • Our Careers Consultants offer career coaching, CV checking, interview support and more 
  • Placement Coordinators linked to each faculty can support your placement search 
  • The Global Engagement team can advise on overseas work and study (and available funding).

  • Career coaching – These meetings can be used to help you to prepare for interviews, consider your career options, offer advice on job hunting and more. 
  • Placement advice – While it is your responsibility to find a placement position, your Faculty Placement Coordinator is here to help and support you during the process and there is still time to secure one. You can use these sessions to explore that areas you would like to work in during your placement or seek support and guidance on how to reach out to organisations and apply for positions.

International students can access Student Circus, a platform dedicated to help you find global visa-sponsored jobs, placements, and internships that align with your career goals. Register with your BU email to start using it today.

Graduate Skills Programme 

Develop the skills employers are looking for by completing our Graduate Skills Programme, endorsed by companies like IBM, Marriott and University Hospitals Dorset. You’ll gain access to industry events, tailored workshops, and resources that will help you grow professionally whilst you earn an award which you can use on your CV to demonstrate your skills.
