An exhibition celebrating the vibrancy of SportBU and the outstanding achievements of both current students and alumni is on display until mid-October, in the Atrium of Poole House. The exhibit features a tribute to the athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, who honed their skills through BU's High Performance sports programme.
Visitors can explore the diverse range of services SportBU offers to students, staff, and the wider community. From health and fitness classes to specialised training for elite athletes, SportBU is the beating heart of sport on campus.
The exhibition also highlights our involvement in the annual Varsity Day against Southampton Solent. We have enjoyed an impressive seven-year winning streak, demonstrating BU's dedication to both competitive and recreational sport. The event highlights a community known for its commitment to inclusivity and friendship, ensuring everyone, regardless of ability, can participate.
Additionally, the display offers an insight into Chapel Gate sports campus, a key 65 acre SportBU facility, where many student-athletes train and compete at national and international levels.
There are plenty of opportunities for students and community members to get involved. Whether that's through joining one of the many sports teams, or volunteering within the local community, the exhibition serves as an invitation for anyone interested to engage with BU's thriving sports culture.
Don't miss this chance to discover what SportBU has to offer and celebrate the university’s continued success in fostering both athletic and academic excellence. The exhibition at Poole House's Atrium Gallery will be open to the public until mid-October.
