We’re looking for students to become Student Accommodation Mentors to help us support the experience of new students starting BU in September.
Student Accommodation Mentors will be part of a tailored and friendly mentoring team supporting students moving into BU accommodation for their first year of study. Experience, understanding or awareness of neurodiversity will be helpful in this position.
In this role you will help us to:
- Encourage students to join in with activities and events taking place during the arrivals period
- Motivate students to meet new people
- Help new students transition and settle into university life and belong in the BU community.
Student Accommodation Mentors will be hired for a total of eight weeks, with up to six hours of work per week. The rate of pay for this role is £13.93 per hour. Successful students are expected to be able to work in person from Monday 16 September.
