During busy periods it is important that you take time for yourself so that you can stay relaxed, focused and perform at your best. The information below explores some of the activities you can get involved in over the coming weeks to help you unwind, find support and advice as well as look after your wellbeing.
Academic Skills Hub exam workshops
Throughout the year, the Library & Learning Services team and IT Learning Centre run a variety of workshops to develop your skills in areas you may feel weakest in; these include topics such as getting the most out of lectures, time management, Excel, understanding assignment briefs, critical thinking, academic writing and more.
Sign up for a dedicated workshop looking at revision strategies and preparation for exams to help you feel ready for any upcoming assessments. Sessions are available in person and online:
- Online - Wednesday 15 May, 12-1pm
You can find out more about support available to you and the 35+ workshop titles on the Academic Skills Hub on Brightspace.
Weekly drop-in sessions in halls of residence.
All BU students can meet with the Student Services Team in BU halls in May. Staff will be on hand to answer your questions, share tips for studying for exams or give advice on preparing for assignment deadlines. As well as advice and support, there will be games to play with prizes and goodie bags to be won.
