In the summer, we announced that Professor John Vinney, our Vice-Chancellor, was stepping down in August 2024. We are now starting our process to recruit his successor.
The role of Vice-Chancellor (VC) is a very important one and to help us to recruit the right person, we want to understand what our BU community thinks are the leadership skills and behaviours the successful candidate will need to possess. So that we can gather the views of students and staff, I am now pleased to share with you a short survey. This will be open from today until 30 October 2023. Please take some time to complete it. Your input is extremely valuable; the information and views you share will help us to shape the final job description and person specification for our future Vice-Chancellor.
The survey is anonymous and information will be submitted directly to the executive search company, GatenbySanderson, who are helping us with the recruitment process.
