The ground floor of Dorset House has undergone a significant transformation over the summer which was completed last week. This involved remodelling and modernising the space and creating a new, more welcoming entrance for staff, students and visitors.
There are now five pods for you to meet and complete group tasks, an area for placement support, as well as Teams meeting rooms allowing for a more open collaborative space.
On top of these changes, we also have a new boardroom and conference room in Dorset House. This new space in DG06 will support the need for new seminar spaces for our incoming students at the start of this academic year.
All of these updates have been completed to BREEAM Very Good, which is a sustainable building certification for assessing the environmental impact of our buildings. We have also reused existing furniture for this project, by reupholstering old chairs.
