As part of our commitment to improving staff and student experiences, we are installing a new lift in the Sir Michael Cobham Library (SMCL). In order to construct the new lift shaft, from Friday 14 April we will need to close one lane of the university access road adjacent to the SMC Library building, for a period of up to eight weeks.
Temporary traffic lights, signage and a temporary pedestrian crossing will be provided during this time in order to support safe navigation around this area. There is no impact on the cycle path along this road, and the bus route will remain the same.
To mitigate impact on traffic, please consider an alternative route to Talbot Campus via Gillet Road.
