Following the success of the programme last academic year, this semester BU’s Alumni Relationship Team are working with SUBU to continue to offer a mentoring programme for Black BU students.
The BU Mentoring Programme aims to support students by matching you with a BU graduate mentor who can help you to build new professional networks, develop confidence for your future career and gain insights to support you through your university journey and beyond. Our BU mentors are from a wide range of industries and will help you develop transferable skills in readiness for your next steps after university.
The Black Student Mentoring Programme is now open for Black BU students of all levels of study to apply. We endeavour to match as many students as possible with a mentor, but please note places are limited. If we cannot help immediately, we will be in touch to share future opportunities.
If you would like to take part in our Black Student Mentoring Programme this year, please complete our online form before the Monday 27 February deadline. Please provide as much detail as possible to support your application.
If you have any questions, please contact the programme coordinator, Samantha Roberts-Aird at [email protected]. You can also read more about alumni mentoring in our online handbook.
Other BU Mentoring opportunities
Whilst this mentoring programme is designed specifically for Black students at BU, we also offer alumni mentoring opportunities on all courses that are open to students of any background to apply. If you’d like to find out more about what mentoring is available for your course area, or if you have any other questions about mentorship programmes at BU, please read our online handbook or get in touch with Samantha Roberts-Aird at [email protected].
