Need to update your password or change your phone details for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)? No need to contact the IT Service Desk – you can do this yourself.
Both MFA and your BU password are important security measures to help protect against cyber-attacks and keep our sensitive and personal data safe. Regularly changing your password and keeping your MFA registration details up-to-date help to minimise the security risks.
Here’s a reminder of what you need to do:
Updating your password
- Visit the IT Services homepage and click on the link that says ‘reset your BU password’.
- Once in the external Microsoft password re-set/account recovery tool, after entering your BU email address and inputting the letters/numbers displayed, please choose the forgotten password option.
Logged in to a BU machine?
You can also use the Ctl+Alt+Delete function and select ‘Change a password’.
Don’t forget to follow the BU password protocol to ensure you password is secure.
Updating your MFA registration details such as your phone number
- Visit the My Sign-Ins page – here you can check/update your details.
