Do you want to increase your understanding of what you can do to help tackle racism? Or widen your knowledge of Black British history? All BU students and staff can now enrol on a free online learning programme designed to do just this.
The programme - Union Black: Britain’s Black Cultures and Steps to Anti-Racism – is an eight-hour course comprising online learning content, reading materials and interactive activities. There is also an optional one-hour introduction session, designed to introduce you to some of the concepts and learning experiences in the full course. Union Black has been developed by Santander Universities UK and The Open University and is the first of its kind to be made freely available to more than four million students and university staff across the UK. By enrolling, you will be challenged to think beyond your perceptions, gain new perspectives and become informed allies. You can find out more about the programme in the following video trailer:
