This autumn Bournemouth University Business School has launched the Senior Leader Apprenticeship with a cohort of healthcare leaders from the Dorset Integrated Care Board.
The Bournemouth University Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship aims to develop critically informed, agile, and resourceful leaders who can successfully deal with the challenges faced in the workplace.
The programme was launched by Patricia Miller, CEO of NHS Dorset and Dr Lois Farquharson, Executive Dean of Bournemouth University Business School.
Patricia Miller said: “I was delighted to join Dr Farquharson in welcoming future leaders from across Dorset to the new Senior Leader Apprenticeship Programme co-developed with Bournemouth University. I was really encouraged to see so many future leaders focussed on personal development and look forward to seeing them progress.
Deborah Taylor, Senior Leader Apprenticeship Leader, said: “We have spent the last year working with some fantastic people across our local ICB network to bring this course together and it's so exciting to finally launch it! We now have a cohort of amazing people who have worked under such pressure in the last few years and it’s such a privilege to be involved.”
This programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Business School at BU is the first in the South West of England and we are only the sixth modern university (created since 1992) in the UK to receive AACSB accreditation.
