Bournemouth University is working closely with its partners at Morebus regarding the evolving situation with Yellow Buses. There is very limited information about the situation, but rest assured, Bournemouth University is working hard to identify where the community might be affected and to give the most relevant and up to date information.
Yellow bus users are encouraged to visit the Morebus website or download the UNIBUS app for up to date information on services and routes being offered.
Bournemouth University's brand new bus fleet is being deployed early to allow Morebus to use BU's current buses to cover additional journeys. Visit the Coach and Bus Weekly Facebook page to read the latest statement published on 3 August.
Morebus will be operating the following services from Saturday 6 August: 1, 1A, 1B, 2, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 6A and 737, with some variations. In a statement, Morebus said: “We have moved additional vehicles to the area, in order to provide the service needed - including 15 brand new Euro VI, low emissions buses, that Morebus and Bournemouth University have invested in. These were delivered ahead of schedule and are ready for the road - so that our current fleet can be used to fill the gaps left by Yellow Buses.”
