As part of our commitment to make our campuses exceptional places to work and study and to reflect the innovative and collaborative way our students and staff work together, a number of projects are taking place over the summer period. These works are starting from Monday 25 July and include the creation of a new agile seminar room on the ground floor of Poole House on Talbot Campus. This will be developed in the space currently occupied by rooms PG16 to PG19 and PG22 and will provide a flexible teaching room.
While the work is taking place, there will be no access to the Open Access Centre in Poole House and the Shelley Lecture Theatre. If you are on campus over the summer period, please use the other available facilities for studying. There are self-study spaces and computers in the Sir Michael Cobham Library, which is open until 8pm on weekdays and until 4pm on Saturdays. At Lansdowne Campus, the Bournemouth Gateway Building Weston Library and Open Access Centre remains open to students 24 hours a day, every day. A full list of building opening times is available on the website.
The works will be completed by 2 September and we thank you for your understanding while we continue to improve campus for the BU community. If you have any concerns, please get in touch with your programme support team or contact AskBU.
