The National Centre for Post Qualifying Social Work (NCPQSW) at Bournemouth University is to host its first virtual Leadership Conference open to Health and Social Work professionals.
This free to attend event will take place on 9th December 2021 (09:00 – 17:00 GMT), and will be the first of its kind, aimed at strengthening connections across academia, practice and leadership by sharing knowledge, experience and expertise.
The conference will be aimed at managers and aspiring practice leaders at all levels within Health and Social Care settings and will address key themes such as:
- How do we manage leadership in a post-Covid environment?
- What happens if change is forced upon us?
- Which teams were successful in delivering care and how was success measured?
The NCPQSW will collaborate with academics and practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds to offer interactive workshops and panel discussions.
Dr Neil Thompson, a renowned academic in the field of leadership in Health & Social Care will be attending as keynote speaker who will offer his perspective on Authentic Leadership.
Tilia Lenz Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University has commented “Our conference will harness the learning of what leadership post-pandemic means to take practice into the future and we can’t wait!”
