Bournemouth University (BU) has been ranked as one of the top 400 universities in the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
The 2022 rankings include more than 1,600 universities across 93 countries and regions.
Institutions are ranked across 13 key indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
BU has been ranked between 351-400 in the 2022 rankings of worldwide universities included, up from 401 – 500 last year.
This places the university 40th among the UK universities appearing in the 2022 rankings, up from 49th last year. 101 UK universities were included in the rankings in total.

The ranking announcement continues BU’s successes in recent rankings, with BU rising 18 places to 68th in the Complete University Guide rankings 2022 and 77th in the THE Young University Rankings 2021.
