We are aware of a current phone scam where scammers are using software to make calls pretending to be from Bournemouth University.
This is a well-known scam, with more information on the Ofcom website.
We would underline that these calls are not from Bournemouth University, we would only be in touch with you for matters directly relating to Bournemouth University and our IT team are actively working to do what they can to stop scammers from using our numbers in these ways.
We would also encourage all members of the BU community to be vigilant of such scams.
