Give us your thoughts on a university based delivery service and be in with a chance to win a £25 shopping voucher.
Research indicates there is a high carbon footprint associated with missed parcel deliveries to the home due to repeat courier visits and personal mileage to collect parcels. An innovative solution is a delivery service where a central reception receives parcels in exchange for a small payment. Within large organisations – such as universities - this could significantly reduce van mileage and be an economically viable solution.
BU has teamed up with the University of Southampton as part of a project funded by Southampton City Council to explore views on this option. Part of this study will be to collate data from a questionnaire to analyse business models to understand financial viability and savings in greenhouse gas emissions.
If you would like to take part in this study, please complete the online survey by Friday 31 January. The questionnaire is completely confidential and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Once you fully complete the survey and if you provide your contact email address, you will be entered into the prize draw to be in with a chance of winning one of ten £25 online shopping vouchers.
More information can be found on the survey or by contacting Professor Janet Dickinson.
