A paper authored by Dr Sarah Collard, Dr Janet Scammell and Professor Stephen Tee has recently been accepted for publication by Nurse Education Today.
The scoping review, “Closing the gap on nurse retention: A scoping review of implications for undergraduate education”, explored the literature for connections between nursing and social work undergraduate education and post-qualification retention. The review found similar main factors associated to retention between the two professions and provides further strength for inclusion of the nurse retention conceptual model, TRACS (Transition, Resilience, Authentic leadership, Commitment and Support) within the undergraduate curriculum.
