To mark Speak Week we’re sharing a series of 'You Said, This Happened' stories to show that your voice can make a difference on things that are important to your student experience at BU.
You said: We’d like more workspace when using PCs or laptops in the Open Access Centres and Libraries (SimOn, 2017/18)
This happened: More powerful, compact all-in-one PCs have been installed
Earlier this year, all of the computers in our Open Access Centres and libraries were upgraded to more powerful, compact, all-in-one PCs. The all-in-one PCs are designed to take up less space giving you more room to work or to use your own laptop if you prefer. All of these machines are now kitted out with Windows 10 and Macs have been upgraded to MacOS High Sierra, and your university apps are now available using 'AppsAnywhere' meaning you can use many of your course specific applications on any BU PC, rather than being restricted to faculty labs.
