A campaign highlighting the impact BU has had on the healthcare industry is to go live next week, on Monday 21 May, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
Join us as we celebrate our Healthcare Heroes - BU academics in health and social science professions, as well as the achievements of students and alumni now working in the field. The campaign will feature students on placement, such as Mica Lee, currently in the cardiology unit at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, as well as the work of student midwives in Portsmouth. The work of academics such as Dr Osman Ahmed and Professor Keith Brown will also feature in the campaign.
Additionally, BU will seek to highlight the impact the university has had, and is continuing to have, on the NHS and healthcare professions.
This campaign supports the new university vision, BU2025, establishing Health and Wellbeing as a Fusion theme focusing on the impact BU makes through courses, research and graduates to the health and wellbeing of the region.
Look out for our Healthcare Heroes promotions in several popular shopping locations across the south, as well as on our social media channels using #BUHealthHeroes, and on the BU website during the week.
