Update (12.30pm, 6th February 2018):
SSE, the district network operator, has reported that the power cuts were caused by a primary power cable failure on the local network close to the university (Charminster area).
The fault has been isolated and no further disruption is anticipated relating to this fault. However, in the event of any additional power loss, it is likely that restoration of power would occur quite quickly.
If the outage is not resolved within 30 minutes, guidance on actions to be taken will be communicated through the channels below or directly by Estates staff.

We are aware of intermittent power outages at Talbot Campus, affecting all services.
This is part of a wider external issue affecting power supply across the area. Business is continuing as normal, and our Estates team are investigating.
We will provide updates on our social media channels (https://twitter.com/bournemouthuni and https://www.facebook.com/JoinBournemouthUni) and on the BU Information Line (01202 968999) as more information becomes available, or if the power is lost again.
