Following the events in Manchester this week, the government has announced a UK-wide one minute silence, to take place today at 11am. This silence will be in remembrance of those who lost their lives or were affected by the attack in Manchester.
For staff and students wishing to participate, normal activities, lectures and meetings will be paused to enable the silence to take place.
For students sitting exams, invigilators will make you aware of the silence at the start of the exam – students and staff in the exam setting should then take a pause at 11am. One minute will be added to the end of all exams observing the silence.
The Students' Union have organised a vigil in the courtyard on Talbot Campus from 6.30pm today, where you can pay your respects and share messages of condolence - please click here for details.
