Students' Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU) have launched their 'Big Give' campaign to lend a helping hand to those in need.
BU students are being encouraged to donate any of their unwanted items as they are packing up their homes for the summer so that SUBU can in turn give them away to a good home.
Nikolas Farano is leading the project and explained how important it is for students to donate any unwanted items, “With the end of year upon us and students heading home, its really important that we think of others when moving out. What you might consider useless might be of great use to someone else”.
SUBU will be visiting houses in the Winton area handing out bags ready to be collected, with students also encouraged to drop any unwanted items into SUBU Reception in the new Student Centre.
Students are also being encouraged to tweet their ‘Big Give’ efforts using #SUBUBigGive for a chance to win a prize, including a £50 STA Travel voucher.
More information about the Big Give can be found on the SUBU website.
