Bournemouth University has jumped eight places in the Guardian University League Table 2016.
The rise, from 71 to 63 in the annual table, follows the Complete University Guide league table rankings from April 2015, in which BU also jumped 11 places.
Professor John Vinney, Vice-Chancellor of Bournemouth University, commented, “The eight place rise in the Guardian University League table is further confirmation of Bournemouth University’s upward trajectory. This is the second league table in 2015 to recognise the hard work and commitment of the whole of the BU community, and this announcement further underlines that BU just keeps getting better.”
The Guardian University League table looks at graduate prospects, student satisfaction and student to staff ratios among other things to come up with its annual rankings.
Bournemouth University also appears in 23 subject tables (up from 21 last year), with one top 10 placing for Hospitality, Event Management and Tourism ranking 9th in the 2016 tables (up 9 places from 18th last year).
The rise in university league tables continues to underline BU’s commitment to becoming a top 50 university by 2018.
