BU are represented in Loughborough for the culmination of the national universities team sports programme. BU's volleyball team are in the final this afternoon fighting to be crowned National Champions while our men's football team are fighting for their national trophy. The finals could bring further success to BU's Varsity teams after three wins in six matches for Bournemouth University at the South West Conference Cup Final in Exeter on 18th March.
BU's Women's Lacrosse 1st team demolished Plymouth 25-1. Women's Netball 1st emerged as 37-34 victors in a game that was close throughout against University of Cardiff's 2nd team. Men's Football 2nd over powered University of Bath's 2nd team 3-0 in an impressive display.
BU’s mixed golf 4th team started the day off at Warren Golf Club, however they succumbed in an extremely close contest to University of Exeter's 3rd team playing on their home course. Women's Football 1st were hoping to duplicate their league success by completing the double, however unfortunately fell 3-1 to Gloucestershire University's 2nd team. Women’s Badminton 1st suffered a close 5-3 loss to Swansea University's 1st team.
