BU’s sport teams won three titles at the South West Conference Cup finals.
BU was represented in six of the 20 finals games, which took place at Exeter University, with league wins for the Women’s Lacrosse 1st team, Men’s Football 2nd team and Women’s Netball 1st team.
BU's Women's Lacrosse 1st team beat Plymouth 25-1 to secure their league and cup double, while the Men’s Football 2nd team overpowered University of Bath's 2nd team 3-0 in an impressive display.
Women's Netball 1st team also emerged as 37-34 victors in a game that was close throughout against University of Cardiff's 2nd team.
Netball captain Laura Purssell said: "After trailing Cardiff for the majority of the match, it was one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences when the final whistle was blown to win.
“It wouldn't have been possible without our amazing supporters and lovely coach who did not give up on us at the sidelines!"
Other teams competing in the Conference Cup finals included BU’s mixed golf 4th team, who succumbed in an extremely close contest to University of Exeter's 3rd team playing on their home course.
Women's Football 1st team were hoping to duplicate their league success by completing the double, but lost 3-1 to Gloucestershire University's 2nd team.
Women’s Badminton 1st team also suffered a close 5-3 loss to Swansea University's 1st team.

“Winning three titles highlights Bournemouth's increasing dominance within the South West Region and provides motivation to better it next year.”
