For this month’s Talk BU Live we have Dr Don Parker speaking on Christmas advertising and the changing relationship between advertisers and consumers.
Are we all sucked in by Christmas adverts? Do the activities of marketers make us more likely to spend our money in certain shops? Is Black Friday a dream for the industry or for the consumer?
Don will be looking at some of the research behind advertising and the techniques used to motivate consumers into making purchases. He’ll be lifting the lid on Christmas advertising, with real research leading the discussion.
Join us in Dylan's Bar, at 5:30pm on Tuesday 9 December for this fascinating alternative view of Christmas consumerism.
