There is much talk about sustainable food, but will it lead to real changes in the ways we live and eat?
That was the question posed by Sean Beer in his talk Why talk about sustainable food production is largely hokum, which took place as part of the Talk BU Live series in Dylan's Bar.
Sean, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Tourism, covered everything from food miles to horse meat and farmers' markets, before taking questions from staff and students.
The talk was recorded and can be viewed on BU's YouTube channel.
TalkBU Live is a monthly, on-campus event at Dylan’s Bar featuring a short talk by BU staff or students, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
The event aims to get staff and students thinking and talking about topics beyond their degree subjects and schools, with talks on a wide variety of different subjects.
